Any NYC brides out there that got boudoir pics in the area and have a good rec? I’m debating the idea for my groom’s gift. Did anyone else wonder if their FI would get upset that you posed seductively without him there? Share your experiences!

I’m considering it too, I think I will ask the photographers when I meet with them. I don’t know how to bring it up without my fiance knowing though since I want it to be a surprise gift.

I did mine with Angelica Glass and I liked her so much that I was considering asking her to do our wedding too. But she is kind of pricey if you compare her packages to many others out there. Her style is very artsy and contemporary if that’s the style you like then she’s awesome. She more of an artist.
The session is rather short (like an hour ish) and there’s a fee for just the session. Then you pay for the files and prints (if you’d like to order them but I think normally people just get want the files), which you have the choice of 10,20 or 40 files. It could end up being double the price of many other photogs.
I was also highly considering Mariann Szucs (Blue Daisy Boudoir), who I also loved her stuff and is much better deal. But in the end I loved Angelica’s comtemporary style more.
I had a list of people I was considering and all are very different in styles some more risque than others. So once you know what style you like it’s not so hard to choose.
As for how SO think hmmmm I don’t know yet! I was planning to make the files into a book or something but I didn’t make it in time for our civil wedding so I’m gonna give it to him “someday” on an anniversary:) I’m not sure if he really likes the idea of me posing seductively but I enjoyed it so much haha.
If you’re interested in seeingthe pics PM me and I can send them to you. I’m a bit too shy to post them here!

I like Kimberly Salem. She is doing mine this summer and I am super excited. She doesn’t show her pictures on her blog but you can contact her to see some. http://www.kimberlysalemblog.com/
