I'm so exciting that you loved it! I had pictures done last year. They turned out well, though now that I've seen so many amazing pictures on here, I wish I had done different positions and poses.
I'm doing mine next week. I'm glad to hear you had such a positive experience. From this side of things it's mostly nerve-wracking.
katiebug- I get ya, sister! I wanted to back out a hundred times over the last 6 months. The truth of it is that it's kind of a weird experience! Here I am in a hotel room, half dressed with a female photographer that I have just met and my FI has no idea what I am up to! My photographer was really positive through the whole thing and made me feel at ease so that helped.
The best thing I can relate this experience to is kinda like when you are dating someone new and they see you without clothes on for the first time. It's kinda awkward, but ended up being fun, haha
I had a glass of wine while I was getting my hair and makeup done so that helped calm my nerves a bit too!
I love how you explained the comfort level, haahaahaa
I have been on the fence about whether to have a boudoir session or not. Everyone's pictures have been so amazing. The hair, the make up, the outfits, the poses...I hope over the next few months I muster up the courage to have some taken....
@jaylii9:Thanks for the encouragement! It is a little weird to be sneaking around to take half-naked pictures but hopefully FI will appreciate it when he gets his gift. We will be long distance for a couple of months at the beginning of our marriage so I'm hoping it's especially meaningful ;)
I felt the same way!! i was soo anxious but it took no time before I was comfortable and having so much fun.. I actually felt sexy! i NEVER feel sexy. I can't wait to get the book in. Any time that i am having self esteem issues i know we will have that book somewhere. i would recommend it to anyone.
I am getting mine done June 16th! So all these post are helping me out a great deal! I already started looking around for outfits and shoes and different stuff! Its exciting, but i think like you i am going to be soooo nerveous!

No pictures yet, sorry! :) I am actually really conflicted as to whether I will ever share them on weddingbee because it is such a public forum.
Anyways, my boudoir session was last Saturday and it was a great experience! I my hair blown out by my stylist adn make-up done at my salon as well. I am now nervous because my photographer has not shared any of the photos with me yet. I felt great during the session, so I only hope that the pictures look how I felt I guess :)
I am writing this post because I want to share how empowering this experience was. I decided to do the boudoir shoot initially to surprise my FI, but it really turned into a positive experience for myself. I am a size 12/14, had a breast reduction a couple of years ago but I did something outside of my normal comfort zone and it was fun and an ultimate acceptance of my body and myself. For me, it's a reminder to me that I must live my life for what I am, not for when I am 10 pounds skinner, have less skin problems, a time when my arms are more toned etc etc etc
Anyone else going through or gone through the boudoir picture wait? I'm dying here! :)
