After a couple of months of dress shopping, I thought I knew which dress was going to be THE dress. Then I made a spur of the moment stop at a local dress store and ended up buying a completely different dress that night!
I felt GREAT in this dress (pictured) and had more of a “moment” with it than any others, but buying something so spontaneously is not usually my style, so I think I’m second-guessing myself. Plus, it is so completely different from the lace slim a-line I thought I had decided on…
I don’t intend to wear the belt pictured, but will likely wear a thin, simple beaded belt instead. I’m also wondering if I should relax the fit and flare shape a little so it is not so prominent (is it too fitted on my figure?). I’m intending to get some alterations done so the material is perfectly smooth, but I am on the fence about whether I should alter the shape. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

@kitkat1234: I think it looks great on you!!! Minus the belt.. But a thin sparkley one like you said would look awesome. 🙂

@kitkat1234: I’d rotate the belt to the side. The flowers right on your stomach isnt very flattering. I do like the straps, though!

I’m not the biggest fan of it. I think something else would flatter your body so much more. It’s just a really hard dress to wear because it’s so smooth, the scoop neck and the boxy cut on the pleats at the flaring part of the skirt.

Try your dress with a fit and flare petticoat. Sometimes, shapewear makes a HUGE difference.
(Was this David’s Bridal?)
