I pulled the trigger. I went looking around for a dress to get the ball rolling and I ended up getting a dress! We are planning for next fall and it worries me slightly that I have nothing else planned. But for the price, it was a steal! So here it is!

- Wedding: February 2015 - Chapel on Base
I planned first the purchased my dress. Then I had to change the plans because the wedding dress was different from my vision.
IMO you took the correct path. 😉

Lovely dress! I purchased mine months before even starting to plan, it’s not a big deal! Love the lace and belt

soon2bhitched: beautiful dress!! Buying a dress was the first real wedding planning thing I did as well. When it’s the one, it’s the one!
Now you already know what your dress looks like and you can plan the rest accordingly!
Have fun! 🙂

The dress is beautiful! I don’t think you need to worry about buying the dress first, sometimes I think that having the dress can help you imagine what the rest of the day will look like. Just like some people will book a venue then buy a dress to ‘match’.

soon2bhitched: Congrats on finding your dress and it is absolutely gorgeous! I wouldn’t worry about not having anything else planned yet. Your dress will fit perfectly in nearly any theme, venue, and season. My wedding is this October and started planning in January. When I bought my dress in February, all we had done was pick a tentative date, made up a rough draft of the guest list, and were in midst of visiting various venues.

Beautiful dress! I don’t think it’s never too early to start looking – especially since you can cross that decision off the list and work on everything else!
