I’ve got rope engraving on the band of my ring. For the first few days I really noticed it and it bothered my fingers a bit, but after that I think I must have formed some slight calluses because I don’t even notice it anymore.

My ring is very similar to yours! I have a rather thick band and the milgrain doesn’t bother me at all, but I do find myself always running my thumbnail along it lol. Call it a nervous tick, perhaps!

Mine has pave and miligrain and it doesn’t bother my finger at all.  Your fingers will definitely get used to it; just depends if you like the look.

I think it adds a lovely detail and I would bet you will get used to it and not feel it within a few days 🙂 its really pretty and looks very authentic.

@Someday_Mrs_Maguire:  You can feel the tiny milgrain??? Wow, you are more sensitive than me! I have milgrain on my W.B. and cannot notice it at all:

I have milgrain on mine, but I never even notice it! I think the milgrain ring is beautiful, but I’m partial to the more vintage look!

I love the way milgrain looks, but I can’t -stand- the way it feels between my fingers. i have a lovely Edwardian 5 stone ring that I can’t wear because it just feels so rough and bad. Maybe if I kept it on for a couple of days, I’d get used to it, but generally, I only wear it for a few minutes before I can’t stand it.

Interstingly, rope engraving or twisting doesn’t bother me. I think it’s because the milgrain is so small that it feels rougher to me, like a nail file.

I love the look of milgrain but it does bother me between the fingers. I just love a smooth band between my fingers. So comfortable for everyday wear. I do wear a prong-set eternity band sometimes and although I get used to the prickly prongs, I would not be comfortable doing exercise with it or getting my hand squeezed by a hand shake etc.

Up to you to determine your comfort level, just as you are doing with the trial set 😉

@Someday_Mrs_Maguire:  They bother me a little bit, but not too much. Not to where I want to take the ring off. I LOVE how milgrain looks and I’m getting used to how it feels.
