If you missed my previous post, I recently bought a Bridal Shower dress from anthropologie that was WAY out of my usual clothing budget. Today I just saw online that it’s on sale for $100 less! Do you think I should order online and try to return the one I have (I still have the receipt)? Has anyone ever done that before?

Try going into the store and asking for a price diff. refund. normally you have 30 days to do that. and yes do it!

@asianbarbie: +2 lol
Also- can you post a picture of your dress? I love Anthropologie but sadly it is out of my budget as well.

If you are within the return date from the store definitely do it!

@sparklerunner: Definetely ask for a price adjustment and if that doesnt work, just return it and order online.

I bought my dress from BHLDN and it went on sale recently. They said they do a price adjustment within 2 weeks of purchase. Anthro probably has a similar policy. If it’s within the time window check about a price adjustment first, if that doesn’t work return and rebuy. Also, some credit cards have price protection, so you might want to check for future purchases 😉

@sparklerunner: Ainthropologie’s price adjustment policy is only in place within 14 days of shipment.
The customer satisfaction policy is more generous:
All Anthropologie merchandise is unconditionally guaranteed. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, please let us know so we can take care of you.

If you have purchased items that are now on sale, we will gladly offer you a one-time price adjustment if the original date of shipment was within 14 days of the sale offering.
Unless you’re in that window, I doubt they’ll price adjust it for you.

@sparklerunner: I used to work at Anthropologie, and we would do price adjustments regardless of the time if the customer got in a big enough huff OR if the item was still in stock in the store. If it’s still in stock near you, I would definitely just bring it in and explain you’re either going to return and buy it back, or you would like a price adjustment. If you’re not comfortable doing that, then just buy it online and return it. No sense in not saving $100, and believe my, you’re not screwing over the store, anthro’s markup is insane.

BHLDN and Anthro are the same company, so I would imagine that their price adjustment policy should be the same.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I’m ordering a new one online and returning the one I bought full price 🙂 No idea why I felt guilty about doing that at first!
