I just bought these brooches, I have 5 of them, two are going on my plum wedding heels, the other three are for my cake! I will have the baker add one to each tier of my cake. My colors are black and plum, both colors do not have to be on the cake. Still undecided on what cake design to go with! Whats your opinion? Keep in mind I’m only going for the design/detail of the cake on the icing, not any decor with regards to ribbon or fresh flowers.

If possbile, leave comments on why you like the style of cake you voted for.

I like the first one, I think the brooches would look like giant snowflakes on snow.

I really like the first cake because it glistens like snow! I think the plum would really POP!

To me 1 just feels right, the shape and the glittery texture with the icing. It’s hard to visualize though without knowing more detail.

@novacaineandlaughter: I am leaning towards the first one as well, replacing the ribbon and having the baker do dark purple icing instead on each tier. I love it and our wedding is in the winter so it will match the season! My only concern is when my fiance “smashes” the cake in face (lucky me, his been pretending to smash cake in my face for months now) that the sugar crystal will be rough and scratch my face.

I voted for Cake 1, it’s just something about the overall look of the cake that made me pick it

I voted for Cake 1. I think it’s really interesting looking and more unique than the “average” wedding cake. I also don’t love fondant, so that influenced my choice as well.
If I had to choose a second choice, I would go with Cake 4. That one was on my inspiration list.

Oh man they are all beautiful but number 1 keeps catching my eye!

I love 4 the most but 1 goes better with the brooches
