Last weekend, I went dress shopping with just my mom and found the dress. At least, I thought it was the dress, but as I was standing there, I realized that I could not make this decision without the other important ladies in my life (my cousin/MOH and my aunt) present. I texted them pictures, they said it was beautiful! I just couldn’t do it though. I went home and emailed them more pictures. They said it was ‘me’ and I should buy it, but I couldn’t do it. In the end, I paid for them to take the train to visit me this weekend, just so I could go try on the dress in person for them. They approved and I bought the dress yesterday! I love my ladies! They travelled six hours each way to come to a 20 minute appointment and confirm the dress choice! What would I do without them?
Related to me week of indecision without the girls’ approval, I also spent this week emailing every bridal shop in town asking whether they carried the dress and the price. I ended up finding the same dress across town for $100 less than the bridal shop 10 minutes from my house. Yesterday, while I was ordering the dress at the shop near my house, I mentioned to my consultant that this dress was available for less across town and showed her the email. Not only did they take the $100 off, they also gave me an extra 5%. So, my $800 dress ended up costing me only $665! 🙂
Yesterday was a great day! 🙂
