I feel you girl. Same thing here. I checked and checked before buying it and couldn't find anyone. I was browsing the Real Weddings section of many wedding blogs too (cause they don't always mention the designer of the dress so I was hoping to just recognize it). One day I found one girl who had my dress-she was selling it. I got her to send me some additional pics of her in it which helped me to decide to buy it-she looked super gorgeous and turns out she had it altered the way I wanted to which really helped. But she is like a size 4. I am a busty, curvy girl that, even once I shed weight for the wedding, might be an 8 at best. Anyway, I decided that it will be cool to have a dress that not everyone is having, and really I can't even find any that are very similar to it. It will be all mine. But I still google search it here and there to see if I can find anyone else-it's fun to see it worn by others. Don't second guess your choice. You know how you felt in that dress when you tried it and that is what matters. There are wayyyyyyyyy too many dress designers and styles for everyone to have a dress twin.
It's possible it's just too new? Seeing as how dresses are typically ordered 6 months in advance, it sometimes takes a while for "real bride" pictures of dresses to start showing up on the net.
That said, 1.5 years after my wedding, I've still never seen anybody but me wearing my dress... it's odd, but I don't care if it was never popular!
I just bought my third wedding dress (major dress regret lol) and I can't find ANY of them on real brides online. I found *one* picture of a bride in the UK in the second dress I bought, but that's it. It is a little disheartening to not see the dress you think is awesome on anyone else, but don't let it bother you. What dress did you buy?
@DeadUtopia: Me too! Just bought my third, and haven't seen a single person in it, other than the model. It makes me happy that it's "unique", but kindof sad that I have so little inspiration!
I'd actually be happy about that! Pretty dress so please don't second guess~ I'm sure its perfect for you and an added bonus is that you loved it enough to buy it!
I recently bought my dress but its new, just a few months old. I love that I havn't seen anyone in it so far!
I don't think Joli is a designer. I think it's a name being used by a manufacturer. Some bridal shops are probably selling them as their own "private collection" dresses.
Same here. I still haven't seen anyone with my dress and I dont think I will.
I can't find mine anywhere either! I was interested just to know the name of it. I know that it's an Enzoani, but that's it! I got it at a small off the rack boutique so I think it's several years old but that doesn't bother me because it's perfect for me! I totally understand wanting to see it on other people but I think you should just embrace it! You're going to wear a beautiful dress that probably none of your friends and family have seen on anyone else before, and that makes it even more special!
Me too... I found one very close on "Four Weddings", but NO where else... I know my particular dress is a this season dress, but it would be nice to see something even remotely close...
I have the same problem, but part of me is kind of glad that it's not super common, as I would like to be a little unique :)
Thanks guys! You made me feel better. I know it's the weirdest thing to be upset by -- it just doesn't feel "real" somehow. But you're right - who cares?! Can't wait to show off some pics once it comes in to the shop in my actual size. I'll be way more excited once I see it again, semi-fitting!
i know the feeling! i've been on these boards for quite a while and have yet to see one single person with my dress! i also cant find it in google searches either. i keep hoping one of these days i'd see someone in it - i've been married 10 months so its not even me wanting to see what it looks like on a real bride, since i already know, but i'd still love to see someone else wearing it just for fun.
I've never seen anyone wearing my dress or my designer.. Although everyone LOVES my dress... it's just not popular I guess?
My dress is not a popular style- DB's website had a few brides in samples, and I found maybe one more online, but googling it doesn't come up with much except model pictures, which obvs tell me nothing. My dress is not on trend right now though- it's top to toe a matte lace, no rouching, very little in the way of detail. Dresses now are very big and 3d. If your dress is off-trend, there's a good chance that's why you're not seeing it.
Feel the pain too. It's annoying but I also like knowing there's not a million other brides in the same dress. I'm having a hard time deciding what type of veil to wear and I can only find 1 girl in the dress -add she's not wearing a veil :(
I finally figured out both how to upload a picture, and how to (really, really poorly) obscure my face!

I don't have your dress, but it's really lovely!!
I also can't find a single soul who's wearing my dress, and I'm shocked. It's a simple dress from Alfred Angelo and I'm still not having any luck.
I know what you mean! Not that I'm much in the know about wedding dress designers, but I've never heard of mine. Not that I care, I just want the dress to look good! I can only find one model picture and it is small. I searched the boards and found a few with a dress by the same designer but not my particular dress. I'm just curious how it looks on others! (It's Private Label by G 1390, btw :) )
Same thing here. I have Alfred Angelo 1952, have never seen pictures of another bride in it. Oh well, it's perfect for me!
Same. I haven't seen any brides (or future brides) wearing my dress. It kind of bothered me at first, but when I really got thinking about it, I don't really want a dress that tons and tons of brides have already worn. I want to be unique :)
Ok, don't sweat not seeing the dress around on other brides, because you look gorgeous!!! I LOOOOOVE the little sparkle embellishment on the bust and it cinches you perfectly at the waist! Great choice!
um, i wish! i had the opposite problem!!!!! I had the adorae - i feel like everyone and their mom's wore it! I knew of 3 other brides that wore that same dress within in the same period! Not to mention the number of girls who wore it on this sitE! Don't get me wrong, I loved my dress, but i actually wish it was LESS popular.
It's very pretty =) No one has ever worn my dress either (or at least not posted it online if they did) and it's now been discontinued so I may be the only bride to ever wear it. I'm kind of happy about that because people say wow look how different and unique that dress is! I'm sure they won't forget it =)
Your dress looks fab! I am reserved about posting a pic of me in my wedding dress, obscured face or not, because I do not want my fi in any way to see me in it! Perhaps the other brides you were looking for in your dresses felt the same way?
It was funny to come across pics with other bees in "my" dress, then I got over it and liked to see how everyone accessorized themselves and styled their hair. Yuems out, my Maggie Sottero dress is very popular --probably because it makes your figure look AWESOME and tiny --and looks better on gals with some curves.
I also just ordered a dress that I cannot find anyone else even talking about, nevermind that has purchased it. I had never even heard of the designer before. It's by Bonny and it is style 123. Anyone else have this dress?? Would love to see pics of someone else in it.
Here are a few pics of me in the sample and also one with the model in it.

It's the same for me. I haven't seen a single bride anywhere on the web in my Enzoani dress. At first I was worried but then I was happy to be wearing such a unique dress.
Same here! I FINALLY found it on Stylemepretty the other day on a recent post and I was SOOOO excited!! Mine is a Pronovias San Patrick!
I also had problems finding a photo of a "real" bride in the dress I chose, and I bought it anyway. I think the more popular brands tend to have more real pics, and the availability of more real pics feeds the cycle and so the popular brands/styles become even more popular. I love seeing the more obscure styles on brides. It's proof that a dress doesn't have to be popular to looking amazing! :-)
@LeanneJoy: Gorgeous dress. I saw the model pic a little while back and didn't realize its potential. It looks wonderful on you and with that belt!

I had been looking for a dress kind of half-heartedly, and then I was with my mom and sister, tried one on, decided somewhat impulsively that this was the one and ... bought it.
Awesome.
Of course, I went to the internet to see pics of other full-figured brides, or to see what accessories other brides chose, etc. and I can't find a single picture, other than the model of anyone wearing my dress. I don't know why, but this totally bums me out. You'd think it would be the opposite. It's actually making me second guess my choice, which is crazy.
Any chance there's any Joli 5106 brides out there?
