We bought our wedding bands today!!! I dont have any pictures, we wont get them for 2 or more weeks, our jeweler was having a large bridal special today and we ended up saving over $700 on both of our bands! Cant beat that!
While we were there we also looked at other jewelry, necklaces and such that I could possibly wear on the wedding day of course the one necklace I fell in love with was over $9000! The jeweler said that they let their clients borrow their jewelry for weddings and other such events! I never knew this was possible! Im so excited because now I can wear all this beautiful jewelry for my wedding that I would never expect FI to buy for me, Id never wear it again anyways!
EIther way Im so excited we got our rings and I can wear some beautiful jewels with my dress! =) one less thing I have to worrry about!

Wow that is kinda awesome cos most people do wear dressier jewellery for their wedding day so it isn’t really practical for wear any other time really, so hiring does seem like a good idea if it is something you wouldn’t wear again.
Oh and congrats on the $700 saving 🙂

How much does it cost to rent? I saw a website online that allows you to rent diamond jewelry, I forget which one, and it was a few hundred to borrow. Just curious! 🙂

You should also check out http://www.adorn.com. You can also rent jewelry there as well.

Although it’s a great idea, I would be terrified of losing or breaking the jewelry I was borrowing. I’m so clumsy, I’m sure something would happen and I’d be paying off a $9000 necklace I’d never even get to see again. Haha

@Fallicious1012: The jeweler that we got our rings from doesn’t charge as long as you have made a major purchase from him 🙂
Thats the one thing I’m nervous about, loosing it or breaking it!
