He bought me the stone! It’s in my hot little hands!
We bought it from Natural Sapphire company. Here’s the link.
We dabbled with having them set it, but we would rather see settings in person right now. It’s still a possibility to have them set it though.
Future FI originally HATED halo set rings. ( He only saw them semi-mount or with diamonds.)
So we started looking at solitare styles with side diamonds.
I like Vintage-y looking rings, and I want a little pizzaz to it to set it apart.
Here are the rings that fit my odd shaped cushion cut sapphire that we have found in person thus far.
Mind you… the stone is just sitting in the settings (in 2 cases the ring’s head would have to come off and be fit to the cushion rather than a round)
Setting # 3
After playing around at a jewelry store future FI asked to see this one with the stone in it. He ACTUALLY likes it the halo now (I’ve always liked them!)
So which style of setting do you like best with my sapphire?
Also which type pf band (Thicker or thinner) looks good with my finger? (Size 7 finger)
Also post pics if you want to of your own ring or settings that might look good with mine! I need opinions! 😀

Setting 3 is so beautiful! I love it, and the detail on the side is really unique and lovely as well.

I think I love number three the most but number two is also very beautiful. I think I’m also leaning more towards the thin band on your hand. P.S. I think that your sapphire is beautiful!

I definitely prefer setting 3! I am also a huge fan of halos, but seriously I feel like it makes the stone stand out more because of the contrast as well as the thinner, more low-key band. Love it!

I love setting#3! I feel like the halo setting really makes the sapphire pop.

I think I like #1 best because it is the most unique and vintage looking (if that is what you are going for), followed by #2. #3 is beautiful, if you love halos, but it depends on how trendy you want to be.

setting 3 is my favorite. I love it!

I LOVE the 3rd setting. It looks gorgeous with your stone and on your hand. The colour of your stone is awesome; love the deep deep blue.
I also have size 7 fingers and I have a super thin band (looks to be the same width as the halo ring picture) and I would not go back for a wider band. I initially thought that a thicker band would look better on my fingers, but the thin band really looked great. Somehow it seems to lengthen the finger and look really pretty and dainty.
The thinner bands look amazing on you. Really stunning.

Do you even have to ask?????
Look at the pics, that stone is screaming for the halo! It looks awesome.
(Can you tell I voted Halo?).

I really appreciate your opinions! We were at a wedding yesterday and we got slightly bored while we were waiting for them to cut the cake, so he and I read all of your comments!
I think I will start looking more into thinner bands. I don’t know why I was looking at thick bands to begin with! My promise ring from future FI is really dainty and I LOVE the way it looks.
I think all of your votes have helped to sway him more towards halos! I can’t wait to actually start looking at them more now.. instead of avioding them, because he hated them!
