Will this look silly? Bridal Party is black with white bouquets, tablecloths will be black, napkins white, and white dendrobium orchid or hydrangea centerpieces.
For my bouquet…I originally planned to do gardenias with their dark green leaves, but was told that they were unfeasible to get in October and won’t survive a minute in my wedding location 🙁 (humidity still in October….arrrgh) So now I can’t envision a white bouquet of other flowers…
I’m brainstorming what I should do…I really like dark burgundy calla lilies, but they won’t be anywhere else than my bouquet 🙁 Should I do that, or stick with white and be consistent with the theme? Or maybe stick some lilies in the centerpiece display?

I think because the primary colors are black and white, any splash of color would look really nice. (I may be bias, because burgundy is my favorite color 🙂 ).
But, yeah I think with something as simple and black and white, ANY color, even if it’s brief, will look really lovely. And, because it would be your bouquet, and YOU’RE the bride, it totally makes sense to have you stand out a little/be a little bit different.
I think that’ll look really nice, and I think the “tone” of maroon/burgundy totally goes with the feel of the formal nature of black & white. But, honestly any color would look really nice. 🙂

I totally think having a colored bouqet would be really awesome!
The first thing that I bought for the wedding were my shoes (with total abandon not thinking of anything else)…bright pink satin Christian’s…beautiful. But bright pink is just a little much for me personally. So what we decided was to do everything in black and white with baby/light pink accents (like only the flowers will have any color to them-centerpieces, bridesmaids bouquets, etc). That way my bright pink shoes, bright pink bouquet, FI’s bright pink socks, and vest won’t stick out too much just enough that we’re special 🙂
