Im getting married in South Africa at a private game lodge.. its a pretty small wedding (only 3 bridesmaids) and about 25 people total. I dont want to go overboard with flowers. I was thinking for each bridesmaid to walk down the aisle holding a long stemmed flower but i have no clue what kind of flower to give them!!
My wedding colors are green and brown (since it will be at a game reserve I thought natural colors would be best for pictures). I am wearing an ivory dress http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplayView?storeId=10052&catalogId=10051&partNumber=WG9830-7008 and my bridesmaids are wearing this dress in Patina (the color looks a little darker on this website then in person.)
So basically, my questions are.. what color and type of flowers should my bridesmaids hold down the aisle, and what color and type of flowers should I used in my bouquet.

STBWife- do you know what kind of availablility there is for flowers near your site? Are you working with a florist or DIYing them? Cost and availability may play a major part in your decision.
Both your links took me to your gown, so I couldn’t see the BM dresses.
However, from looking at your dress, I think something lush and romantic would be fitting- something loose and organic looking like these:

Youre right.. both those links were to my gown. Heres the BM dresses http://morilee.com/DressDetail.aspx?C=9&D=611&P=1.. they are in the color PATINA.
I love the first picture.. beautiful. Im getting married at a game reserve in South Africa, so im not sure about the availability and so on.. i havent really thought about that. Ill for sure be working with a florist.. im not very crafty, so i doubt id be able to make a DIY bouquet and have it actually look presentable 🙂

It depends on the look you are going for, if you want something more sleek I’d give each of them a calla lily to carry or something similar. They are usually readily available, I don’t know about South Africa, but I’ve seen them in Europe and the middle east when I was there.
There are lots of other options if you want to go with a single stem. Roses, dahlias, hydrangeas are all common, have a fairly straight stem and a larger head.

a single calla lily would be pretty.
Or, how about having pretty wrist corsages made for each of the BM? I just saw this on another post on here and love the idea now!
