Satin ribbon with embellishments (locket & rhinetones to hold family that's no longer with us). I may (just may) add feathers if it doesn't look stupid. I'll have posts soon enough with my results!
Labrador, that's a really sweet (and really pretty) idea!
I'm just sticking with plain ol' ribbon. Simple, beautiful, elegant. :)
Typically I just use ribbon because that is what they asked for. But I have done some custom wraps:
used a lace hanky (it was grandma's)
a departed dad's tie (bride went through all his ties and found one she remembered and liked)
strands of fake pearls
two or three colors of ribbon, french knotted
a feather boa (I HATED THIS, I could only imagine her with sweaty hands and bits of feathers stuck on them and everything else)
a bandana
all kinds of material
satin ribbon with jewelry or scrapbooking embellishments.
You are only limited by your imagination. Hope these ideas help

I had a ribbon cuff, and hung a chandelier prism on my handle.
I'm thinking of using leftover fabric from when they shorten my dress, but haven't decided for sure yet.
Ooooh, 100th post! :D
That's a fabulous idea, don't forget to include whatever accents are on your dress,: such as pearls, sequence, rhinestones or lace. modagefloral.etsy.com
I'm using just a white grosgrain ribbon that I picked up, then a black and white thin ribbon will loop through L-O-V-E typewriter keys (a la Mrs. Lovebug) and I'm hoping to work in some lace from my mom's wedding dress...eeh, I think it's getting a little crazy, but I'm hoping my florist will be able to work a miracle!
I just wrote your "typewriter LOVE" idea in my book of ideas. That is cool and unique.

@ azula, that is a FABULOUS idea! I may borrow it! I bought a bouquet wrap on eBay, but I'm not really enamored with it, so I was looking for something else. My dress is too big and the seamstress is going to cut the ends of the back off to make it fit. I wonder if I could use the ends of the bodice that she cuts off...it would be perfect! I still need an idea for the bridesmaids' bouquets (wrap). I wanted to do something different, but my brain is tapped out of ideas.
Not sure of what to wrap with yet..but know it will hold a charm and a picture of my father so in spirit he's walking me down the aisle.
These are some great ideas! I simply used ribbon and pearl-headed pins.
