You might have trouble importing flowers depending on where you’re going – plants and animals are usually a no-no.   This might be possible if you’re traveling within the country.  Flowers are typically flown into cities… but I’ve seen a fresh shipment and they tend to take a lot of TLC and care to get them nice after they arrive.

You can’t find a wholesaler where you’re going?

If you’re really set on doing your own bouquets, what about using real touch flowers? You’ll be able to transport them at least.

@salejolie:  I used real touch flowers for my bouquets and boutonnieres and I carried then to my destination in a plastic container that I checked in oversize. Everyone at the wedding thought the flowers were real. And the nice thing is I get to keep my bouquet forever 🙂 Here is a picture of my bouquet:

Are they going to be real or fake? I’ve seen fake bouquets brought on planes before no problem. But customs might have an issue with real flowers.  Plus how many days before the wedding is it? They (real flowers) aren’t the most robust thing in the world.

@sweetchiquita12:  Did you get yours from Bloom Bridal in Ontario? I think I remember reading that. I did too, and I love mine!!!

@salejolie:  I had a real bouquet and mine really wasn’t in much shape to take back after the wedding….I used mine in a TTD session the day after the wedding so it was kind of falling a part by the end of the trip!

What I did do thou is pull a few stems out and put them in a plastic bag to dry them out to keep!

But hey we got great pics with it!

@Pinkmoon:  Yes I did! She did an amazing job on all my flowers and luckily I live in the Toronto area so I was able to pick it up from her and didn’t have to pay for shipping. What does yours look like?

@sweetchiquita12:  Yah, I’m so happy with them!! I have them sitting in the office at home and I go in there to admire them quite regularly.
