Nah. I caught the bouquet at my sister’s wedding 4 years ago. Several friends and family have been married since then. Maybe it was a delayed reaction?!

I once caught the bouquet at the wedding of one of my friends from college, and I didn’t get married until more than 20 years later, lol! 🙂

Once I got engaged, I stopped trying to catch the bouquet because I felt like it was somehow cheating, because clearly I was getting married, haha. So maybe I skewed things.

I had to catch 2 bouquets before I got engaged, and at that, the proposal was almost a full year after I caught my 2nd bouquet. It worked, but not immediately hehe.

I’ve never actually caught one, but the girl who caught mine actually ended up eloping the week after my wedding! I thought it was a pretty fun coincidence, especially since I made the married ladies attempt to catch it as well :).

my best friend got married oct ’10. i was DRAGGED into the fray for the bouquet toss. when she threw it it landed right smack in front of me even though i did not move an inch from where i was planted to try to catch it. i actually just kinda looked down when it landed and shrugged. a month later i was engaged.

I’ve got an upcoming blog about this but I’ll share a bit early here! 😉 I caught my cousin’s bouquet, the first time I have ever caught a bouquet in my entire life, and the mister proposed just over a week later.

I’m telling whoever catches the bouquet at our wedding to be prepared for a fast turnaround!

@aliavenue:  I caught the bouquet at a friend’s wedding back in 2010 but only got engaged a year later.  I’m sure there were ladies in her wedding that got married before me.

Option 4: I purposely avoided ever catching one and somehow, by the grace of God, have managed to get engaged anyway.  😛

I always hated the bouquet toss – I felt so awkward!  I’d always just stand near the back with my arms hanging down, haha.  I’ll be skipping the toss at our wedding so as not to scream out HEY LOOK WHO’S STILL UNMARRIED AS WE APPROACH OUR THIRTIES! lol

FI caught the garter 3 times. And obviously we’re getting married.
