I wanted to try and make a brooch bouquet for an upcoming wedding. i thouht this would give me practice so when i make my own. thia is my take on a brooch bouquet. as you all know brooches are expensive and when you make something like this it can need 100 pieces. what i did to make it cost effective was invlude jewelry, after some donations from my sisters and a few trips to the flea market I was able to get started.I bought the supplies , what I needed :
-7″ styrofoam ball ($6 (40% coupon) acmoore
-paint of your choice $1 acmoore
-glitter to match paint $3 acmoore
-dowel $1 walmart
-floral pins $1
-coursage pins $1
-tussie mussie $1.20 bought mine on clearance with additiknal 80% at acmoore but can cost $12.99 +
in addition you will also need some plyers and some wire cutters, hot glue, paint brush, otional any spray sealant and spray adhesive.
1. paint styrofoam ball
2.optional spray adhesive and add glitter or add glitter to paint let dry
3. stick dowel in ball with lots of hot glue
4.break down any jewelry you have into individual pieces.
5. with the floral pins apply the piece to the ball , i made sure i liked the placement before i made it permanent with hot glue to the ends of the pin.if its a heavy brooch of jewelry i would deff. add glue if not heavy you wont need any
6.size the cone to your tussie , cut if needed then insert to dowel and hot glue in place and tada you are all set
