I much prefer colored bouquets, because it’ll pop against your (I’m assuming) white/ivory dress, whereas a white/ivory bouquet wouldn’t.

I prefer colored bouquets so that they don’t blend into your dress too much. My florist actually has a blog post video on YouTube about this exact topic. Color is best!

I prefer color. I think white/ivory flowers will blend in with the dress. . . also, I’ve been told by numerous photographers that white/ivory flowers tend to look yellow in pictures.

why dont you do a bouquet that has ivory, light purple, and plum. so the contrast isnt so harsh?

If you are going to have a white/ivory dress, you might want a bit of colour in it…It would defenitly make it pop a bit more

I did white peonies with pink roses mixed in and I am thankful I added those pink roses versus all white. The all white is lovely but prefer the look when the bouquets pop against the dress.

My bouquet had a lot of colors and a lot of different types of flowers. I loved it! But I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

I’m doing a purple bouquet… and my BM’s will have white bouquets. My reasoning, the white will pop against their purple dresses and the purple against mine.

I would do mostly white/ivory but then pick one or two colored flowers from the bouquets your BMs have and put them in with yours.

That way you match your BM as an offset and still have your own unique bouquet.

I’m planning on doing a purple bouqet (true purple and lavender…no pinkish lavenders) with pops of some bright green (think mini green hydrangeas).

Then for the BM (since they will be in dark purple)…I think I might go the opposite…more of a mixed green and purple bouquets (with more greens).  I am using green as an accent color at the reception.

Do you have another color you’re using for your wedding besides purple?  All purple (or shades or purple) would look good on you and then do the BM in ivory if you’re only doing those two colors!  I’m not really a fan of mixed white and purple for the bride…but that’s just me

My bouquet was completely plum/purple and my bridesmaids have white with pops of purple.

I didn’t want my bouquet to blend in with my dress
