Corsages can also be worn on the chest area for women, they are a bit more ornate than the guy boutonniere but it is quite beautiful
I guess I never considered doing it any other way but than to have the men have bouts pinned on and the women have corsages pinned on. The men will have 1 orchid bud, the women 3. I think you should do it!

Ok, personally, the word corsage brings back memories of giant mums my babysitters wore to HS homecomming in 1983. And when I talked to my mom about the alternative of a nosegay or a modern little wrist corsage said "Can't I just have a little tiny flower, like your Dad's boutonniere?" I thought that was a pretty cool idea---a simple, small, and modern way to distinguish our moms, but not an item that would hijack their whole look. So would this work? What should I call it to minimize confusion, a mini-corsage? Because I'm thinking it will be very similar to the dad's boutonieres. The boutonieres/mini-corsages aren't going to have any fresh flowers in them, becuase I'm DIYing my flowers, and I want to have these done WAY ahead of time. I'm thinking feathers, but representative of spring, so maybe some faux redbud tree buds or something. Please let me know if I am insane, or if it has been done, like, 1M times. :)
