Is a “bout” a boutonniere?  Do you pronounce it like boot?

I think matching would look nicer.  You could just do a red rose, which would keep it simple and not too big.  My bouquet had ranunculus, roses, and eucalyptus, but the boutonnieres were just roses.  Oh wait.  That was for my dad and grandpa.  My husband, etc, had hops.  So they matched the green in the bouquets, but not the colors.

Anyway.  I think white would be too different.  Good luck!

Kacie209:  I would probably coordinate the color, not the flower, or go in a completely different direction. There are many non floral ideas for boutonnieres that feature the theme of the weddding, the interests of the groom and groomsmen etc.

Kacie209:  I don’t think you have to match. I am not even doing flower boutonniers, they are pendant pins have their names on them. Have you tried Etsy? They have a lot of what you are looking for and they are not expensive at all.

Just match the color.  Our florists had the girls carry yellow rose bouquets, and men had yellow freesia bouts.  Different flowers but they went well together.

Our matched in a way. Both had pink/ivory colored flowers and both had succulents.
