Hello! I can’t decide if we want to have bouts for the guys that are apart of our big day, or if we should just save some money and get tuxes with a cloth in the pocket. It would be nice to save money but flowers just look nicer 🙂 What are you doing? Which do you prefer?

You can do both but at minimal cost for flowers. Just pick one flower from the ones in your bouquet or the bridesmaids bouquets and repeat it for the groomsmen.

@julies1949: Yeah.. the thing is they are $7 for roses (or $12.50 for callalillies) and we have 11 guys (at least) so thats $77…which I know isn’t bad but it’s $77 we could save 🙂

I think we’re doing both – that was FI’s decision. If I were to only pick one, I think I’d do the bout.

You don’t need to buy these from a florist. Bouts are the easiest thing to do, especially if you do one plain flower like the pic with nothing else added. Just wrap the stem in florist tape and pin on.

I am severly allergic to flowers and I didn’t want to spend the extra money on bouts; just of them to be thrown away after the wedding, so our guys just wore pocket squares. I made the pocket squares for the guys from the same fabric that I made the girls dresses and I made my hubby a white one with white satin that matched my gown. It looked really nice on the day of our ceremony/reception and the guys look really nice in the photos too. I think a bout would have been to much. I think just the pocket squares looks more elegant.
