I love the look of pocket squares instead of traditional boutonnieres. However, my BMs will all be wearing chocolate dresses. It is my understanding that pocket squares typically match the vest. and if the vest is brown to match the dresses, will it be seen? will it look dumb? I love the look of white/ivory ones and red ones, I just don’t know if I thought this through enough to make brown ones work. thoughts? Should I even continue looking or just order bouts?

If you have found the tux rental place just run down there and they will set up a tux mock up for you with and without the pocket square, then you can see it and see if you like it, with and with out the pocket square.

You can make the pocket square whatever color you want! Don’t worry about it matching the vest at all!

Our pocket squares were fuschia to match our feature color. The BM’s wore black gowns and the GM wore black suits with charcoal grey vests. I thought the “pop” of color looked nice!
