My mom’s going in to arrange for our wedding flowers on Saturday. She wants me to have a list of what all I want, so I say “white bouts for the guys, orange ones for the dads, corsages for the moms, my bouquet, and the bridesmaid’s stuff (which she has photos for).” “We’ll also get Anna a corsage…” “Yeah, that sounds great!” (Anna is our DJ, but I call her my second mommy – best friend’s mom, and the person I went to when I needed to talk.) “And the cake servers, and the guestbook attendant and the ushers and the flower girl and…”
Um. Who all are we SUPPOSED to get bouts/corsages for? Because I thought it was the wedding party, parents, and grandparents. She’s paying for it, so money isn’t the issue. I just really don’t know the etiquette…

At my sister’s wedding, we did wedding party, parents and grandparents. I think some people consider the guestbook attendant a part of the wedding party? I definitely wouldn’t get them for the flower girl, though, since she’ll have flower petals to throw.

We did the bridal party, parents and Grandparents. Some people take it pretty far and include Aunts & Uncles, but it can get carried away.

My mom is a florist and typically you just see bouts for Groom, groomsmen, ushers, officiant, ringbearer, fathers, grandfathers or any other male attendants.
Corsages are typically done for mothers, grandmothers, and other female attendants such as the person that may sit at your book, the person handing out programs, servers, etc.

wedding party, parents, grandparents, and anyone who participates in the wedding (readers, ushers, and your officiant if you want)

I’ve always seen (and we did):
- wedding party
- ring bearer (flowergirl will have petals so no need)
- guest book attendant (if you have one)

- Groom and groomsmen (bouts)
- MOB & MOG (corsages)
- FOB & FOG (bouts)
- Flowergirl (corsage)
- Grandmother of bride (corsage – she was the only one there)
- Officiant (bout)
- And then I added in my brother (bout) who was an usher, my DH’s sister (corsage) who handed out programs, and my DH’s brother’s SO (corsage) because she was the only immediate family left that didn’t have one.
Our only other flowers were bouquets for myself and my bridesmaids and my flower girl handed out long stemmed roses.
