So, DH & I have been having this discussion. My sister just had a baby girl last week, and has sent me tons of photos of her all dolled up, she always has a big headband with a bow on her head, and there are a couple where she’s wearing a tutu. DH says that there’s no point in doing that, he would be fine with me dressing our baby up in cute outfits, all pink, etc, but he thinks the headbands are crazy since they’re not really serving a purpose. I think it’s really cute, but I can see his point, too. We we talking about newborns, not little girls that are old enough to say ” hey mommy, I want a bow!” Lol.
What do you think bees?

I think they are super cute but my husband’s entire family HATES bows on babies.

This is the only reason I was sad to have a boy. I love tutus and bows!

Ok, so I was a bit of a tomboy growing up, and to this day I’m one of the guys, and I love sports.
BUT I would totally put my little girl in bows and tutus someday. Tutus for photos only, I think, but bows all the time. Flower headbands, too. It’s all so silly but so cute!
She would have sports team bows and tutus, of course 😛

Love bows and tutus! My DD ALWAYS had a bow on(:

I see nothing wrong with it. I only dress my daughter up like that for photos though. Most girl things have no other purpose then to look cute. 🙂

I think they are completely adorable 🙂 I’m of the opinion that once my kids are old enough to decide for themselves, they can dress however they like. Until then, I’ll pick what I think is cute! I know some people specifically want to avoid “gendering” their child, but…..I dont’ care.

I mean seriously….how cute is this?!

Yes yes yes yes!!!! I think they are the most adorable things in the world! And the purpose is to avoid a Rachel (friends) melt down so people dont think its a boy!!

I like when people do put them on their girls so you can quickly say your daughter is so______! I hate standing there guessing if people’s kids are he or she’s.

I think it is adorable for pics and I would put bow headbands on my little girl, but I’m not crazy about the tutu idea yet. Maybe I will be if and when I have a little girl.

@Captain013: exactly. when they are that young, it’s hard to tell what’s what and you don’t want to offend. but i think this can easily go over the top.
how about a tutu OR a bow OR head to toe pink? no need to make them look like budding child pageant contestants without their say-so

I think it is cute for a photo session but a bit much for everyday wear.
