Boys just don’t think emotionally like we do, therefore they don’t understand our emotions 99% of the time. :/

Well if you knew that you were planning a surprise birthday party for your SO and he was like “wahh, no one cares that my birthday’s coming up, no one loves me, I’m gonna be all alone on my birthday. harumph.”  Wouldn’t you tell him “Don’t worry, sweety!  Everything will turn out fine!”

It’s exactly the same thing here!  You’re in the dark, but he knows what’s up because he’s planning a surprise!

@LaurenK0105: Exactly this!

Boys get one thing…and it’s planning the surprise proposal. Women keep trying to rush it, but you know that it’s coming eventually. You get the planning of the wedding. So try to trust him when he says he’s not worried and that you should believe him that it is coming. Let him have his moment!

@gramgeek: I heart you! My SO also is surprised that I worry about these things because to him it’s such a sure thing.  It is very nice though to hear that once in a while, but of course it doesn’t make waiting that much easier! In my situation, I  had to clarify to my SO that it’s not that I worry if we will ever get married–but I wonder when!  Then he understands a bit better where I’m coming from–that I want this to happen sooner rather than later.
