    Hi Bees,

    I'm looking for Bozeman area ideas. Basically everything. I'm finishing my degree abroad and he's in Bozeman, so a wedding there makes a lot of sense. From what I've located online about wedding opportunities in Montana, Bozeman and Missoula seem the best locations.

    Is any one here from the area or also planning a wedding in Bozeman? I'd love to get in contact with someone who has a female perspective on things (nothing against my guy, he's doing great... but he's not a girl!).

    I'm engaged in Bozeman, but actually getting married in Oregon. From my friends that have been married in Bozeman, I've heard really good things about have a wedding at Chico Hot Springs (apparently reasonably priced and super nice people). They also have tons of places to stay for out of town guests. My co-worker is getting married at Gallatin Gateway Lodge, which is beautiful but pricey.

    Depending on your price range, they is always the option of having a ceremony on public land (a park or up Hyalite) and then having the reception at the Beall Park Center. If I were getting married in Bozeman I think that's what we'd do.

    @mpine: So happy to hear from someone who is also in Montana/Bozeman!

    Almost all guests will be out of towners (although about half from in-state), so I am hoping to plan something quite close to Bozeman. Chico is just a bit too far, I think. Judging from the websites, Gallatin Gateway and Le Petit Chateau have been my favorites. Have you maybe heard something about Le Petit Chateau? I'd also be interested in further input on Gallatin, should your co-worker make any comments.

    I wish I were in Bozeman myself so I could go look at the venues and ask questions in person. I won't be there until this summer. So definite plans will have to wait until then... but I am trying to gather as much info as possible.

    What are you planning for your Oregon wedding?

    I am getting married in Bozeman this summer.

    We went with the Rockin' TJ Rach for a venue. It is beautiful and it is really close to Bozeman. The owner was crazy willing to work with us and our budget and overall the experience has been very positive. The woodlands is also pretty amazing, and the owner is super nice. I didn't like Le Petit Chateau, they had some wierd policies and took forever to respond (and had a really crappy website at the time). I also really wanted a venue with a great view of the mountains and a more 'Montana' feel since most of our guests are from out of state, and they didn't seem to have that. I also visited the Range in livingston, Chico, Bucks T4, and the Lindley Park Center.

    I put together a pretty solid list of venues in the area when I was looking at them if you would like me to send you a copy?

    @mish_marie:

    Yaaay! So excited to here from another Montana bride.

    Hm... a view of the mountains is a good point. I hadn't thought of that, since you can see them in most places in Bozeman. ;) In my case, most of his guests will be from east Montana, half of mine from the south and the other half from abroad. So a nice view/feel of Montana would be great! I was also thinking of trying to incorporate Montana into the menu...

    I'd love to get a peek at your list. If you could also include some comments on the venues you contacted, I'd be grateful.

    Anyone know where to go for alterations? I bought my dress elsewhere but need to get it altered here and nobody I know seems to have any ideas.

    @mish_marie:  Have you tried After 5 and Weddings?  It's on 19th Street.  I am almost positive they do alterations but I am not sure if they will do them if you didn't buy your dress there.  Also, Avant Bridal would be another place to check.  Good luck!
