This poll is inspired by a conversation I had with FI about an hour ago. We were watching some train-wreck countdown on E! and one of the featured f'ups was Heidi Montag. They said that she has a G cup. FI and I got to talking about her boobs and he said that he couldn't imagine how big those would look in person. I told him that they would be more than twice the size of mine (I'm a 40C). FI started to argue with me about the fact that I dont wear a C cup and that I was ATLEAST a D! Hmm, last I checked these puppies were attached to MY chest, buddy! It may be the 4 or 5 (or 6) Heineken Lights that I have in me but I found our whole conversation pretty comical.

So... if your comfortable enough to share, what bra size are you?

    I'm a 32 A cup.  You'd think that, after 4 kids I'd have some sort of bust but I don't!

40 D, but used to be a C until I gained all this weight in the last few years. Only good thing about gaining weight is my bigger boobs. LOL

40DD or 40DDD depending on the bra here... Lane Bryant bras are like a little piece of heaven.

    34 D, though I was a 36 E at one point.

Question... does anyone else find the average of the poll to be a bit larger than expected?

    40G/GG-depending on the style.

I am jealous of the smaller cups that have the fun bras.  You know the ones I'm talking about in Target or VS...bras that have flair.  Once you get into the big sizes everything boils down to white, beige or black.  Yes there are a few cute ones out there at LB or some place similar but I always find that you have to pay $$.

Sometimes I wish I came with detachable boobs that come in different sizes.

I am suprised at the results so far.  I am a C cup and I thought I would be on the larger size compared to most!  I can't imagine how hard it must be for the ladies with bigger boobs to find cute bras when sometimes I can't even find my size.  I am assuming we are all natural?  Or has anyone had them done?  I have 2 sisters with breast implants, and I must say, they look pretty darn good.

Depends on the bra, I can be anywhere from a C-D. But even then Lane Bryant sometimes doesn't carry a 46 in certain styles. So I am regulated to wearing a 44with extenders.

I'm surprised with the results as well. I have the largest chest of all of my friends and most of my family so I was definitely expecting to be on the larger side for the Hive as well.

For anyone that buys their bras from LB, currently they are having a buy 2 get 2 free sale. I just went today. I was returning a few things so I had some store credit coming to me but I ended up paying $24 for 4 bras that would have originally cost me close to $160!

You forgot the DD's, dear!  36DD here,.  I buy all of my bras at VS, which used to be fine, but lately my local store seems to not be stocking them very well at all, wtf?

@UpstateCait: I suppose, considering "sister sizes", that your FI could have a point...that would make you a 42D by conversion, I think?  I dunno how that works anyway; one of the salespeople at VS told me yesterday to shop in my "sister size" if I couldn't find any in my size.

@LittleMissBrassBand: Thats what "other" is for. There are not enough options to give each size a double or triple.

    Also, I guess I don't see how "sister sizes" make much sense... I'm a 40C. I wouldn't fit into a 42D.

@Miss Fish: I'm not that surprised. Most of my close friends are in the D range.  I'm a 34 D-DD.  Years ago I was a B and knew my boobs had grown so I thought maybe I was a C...sure enough I am one of the many woman who was way off on her bra size.  Now that I am pregnant I am wondering how much bigger they will get and how soon...I hope they don't balloon up too much.

I'm a 36F, used to be an E but I've put on weight and they've gone up, New Year's Resolution is to lose the weight so they will probably go down again in the next few months (much to SO's disappointment lol)

As a note to everyone, a DD is an E, and a DDD is an F and so on!

@UpstateCait: actually, I think your "sister size" would be either 42B or 38D. It's up one number, down a cup -or- down a number, up a cup.

    I wear a 36A but fit a 34B okay (that's my "sister size")

Heidi Montag probably doesn't wear a 40G - she's probably more like a 32G or a 34G, which means that the actual mass of her breasts isn't twice what yours is - they're probably fairly comparable, or slightly larger. The cup size doesn't refer to the mass of the breast, it refers to the difference in size between the rib cage measurement and (what I refer to as) the nipple measurement (measured at the fullest point around your breasts). So, smaller ribcage = much higher ratio for the same mass breasts.

Yeah there's no way Heidi Montag has a 40" ribcage circumference! I'm a DD/E though. Most of my friends are in the B-C range, though, so I'm always surprised when I run into other larger chested, natural women! Luckily Nordstrom is always there to save the day.

easy to find DD bras, not so easy to find 32.  ugh, I'm tired of going to specialty bra shops and paying an arm and a leg!! I know that they are better quality but sometimes I don't want to spend the $100+ on a bra.

Used to be a C, now a B :(  you dont lose weight in the places you always want to!

I have no idea if this is really true, but I read over and over again that 705 of women wear the wrong size bra if they are not measured regularly because of guessing, weight gain, weight loss, change in composition so we all just guess what we are or never change from the first measurement. I make sure I am measured every two years and it does change!

I tend to gain and lose weight pretty drastically in the breast area. I have been everywhere from a 32D-36D- and hopefully will go down a bit in the next few months. Time to start watching what I eat again. Thanksgiving to New Years was rough this year (I think I gained 5 pounds in just over a month).

I always feel best when I am closer to a 34C, but I haven't been there for a while!
