I keep listening to number of slower “tender” sounding songs that I really love, I’m just having a hard time wondering if this will work in the “moment”. I know I should just go with what feels best, and that I’m over thinking things! What did you use for you processional and then bridal party songs?
The couple I’m going between for the processional are: 1234 by the Vitamin String Quartet (by Feist) originally, and then Fade Into You (also by VSQ, but originally by Mazzy Star). The latter is a little lenghty and I may have to bust out some music editing skills and shorten it.
For myself, I keep toying with “Say Yes” by Elliott Smith (also a cover by VSQ), Please, Please, Please Let me Get What I Want (Smiths, also covered by VSQ) and finally, one by Flo + the Machine – Cosmic Love.
Any insight, or suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

I really struggled with this – first I wanted something funky and non traditional, then I wanted something Christmassy, then I wanted something that FI loves (but not really wedding “ish”)
I have finally settled on none of the the above! – Just a song that I love (it reminds me of winter /christmas for some unknown reason) its also an old song so won’t be dated in a few years
When I fall in love by Nat King Cole – chose this last week and have submitted my choices to the registrar, so it’s final!

We had a solo violinist and used the following:
- Mother’s Seating: I’ll Stand By You
- Processional: Wonderwall
- Bridal Entrance: Across the Universe
- Recessional: I’m Yours
I 100% stand by my modern song choices– everything was all fantastic!

I’m thinking of going with VSQ for my walk down the aisle too! It’s hard to pick one though, so I feel your pain. Right now, I’m thinking of going with their version of “Just Like Heaven”
