I am still kind of new here and this is my first post!
Our wedding isn’t until October 3, 2015 but I am trying to put together ideas for a favor. I’ve been doing my reseach and it looks like edible is the sure way to go. So since my FI is such a cookie monster I was thinking about having a girl scout cookie table. Kind of like a candy table but with a variety of different girl scout cookies.
What do you ladies think about that?
At first I was thinking about having a photobooth but now I am not sure. I rather have my guest on the dance floor than in a line waiting for a photobooth. But people love photos and it would be a nice keepsake!
What is/was your favor?

We didn’t really do favors because I’ve never really seen any worth keeping or I forget. I think food is just part of the meal so I don’t really consider it a favor, unless it’s like wrapped up to take home. We did have a photobooth and it was a hugeeee hit! Everyone loved it, I have a CD of the pictures and they are awesome, we had 300 guests and almost all of them used it several times. I’d never been to a wedding with a photobooth so I was surprised. We also ordered Dominos pizza right before our sparkler exit for a midnight snack. I wouldn’t worry too much about favors. If you guys like cookies and want a cookie table go for it, but you definitely don’t need any type of favor.

HeyMrsWallace: We did a photobooth and it was a hit! We had it setup during the cocktail hour and it was a great way to pass time. It was in a room adjacent to where our reception was and I didn’t feel like it detracted people that wanted to dance. I’d definitely encourage you to go the photobooth route, if you are still considering it.
And, I also think the Girl Scout cookie bar would be a hit! But, it also sounds expensive, since some of those packages don’t have many cookies!

Do a photo booth! Those are the best favors.

MrsN14: Thanks for the input!!! I can only imagine how everyone reacted when they saw the pizza boxs lol what a great way to end the night!
oracle: I keep hearing photobooths are great. I am still tossing it in the air. You’re right about the girl scout cookies, the cost could add up quick. Thanks for sharing!

we will have a photobooth and we are also ordering pizza for the guests left standing at the end of the night. I bought mini bottles of wine as the “favors” and will attach a small card to each with thank you stamped on one side and their name and table on the other. So it will double as my place cards. We are also doing a cookie table with take home bags and a s’mores bar.

HeyMrsWallace: a photobooth was one of the first things I booked and put a deposit towards and I was so glad I did it early on. I would have definitely changed my mind about it and cut it, when I was stressing out about finances. Since you are planning early, I say book it early and get the 2014 rates 🙂 The other thing that’s awesome is going over to friends houses and seeing their photo booth pics up in their house. My wedding was almost 4 years ago, and I still see the pics on display in their homes!

future.mrs.koban: I love the mini wine bottles as place cards and favors! Great idea.
oracle: Yea, that’s what I was thinking. Like you said it would be great to go over someone’s house and see a photo of them having a great time at your event on display. I think it’s something people keep rather than tossing it away in the trash.

I think GS cookies would be a great favor! Yum! We are most likely doing honey sticks or macarons.
