Hello, bees! My Fiance and I are planning our wedding and wedding budget, and I’m not sure if my diamond wedding band will be able to fit into our budget (I will try hard, though!!). Here is a a picture… not the best but pretty good… so you can see the side profile. The band is about 4-4.5 millimeters in height.
How do I get a gold band that will be high enough to look okay with it? Anyone else have a ring like this or this situation?? Please post pictures!!

Sorry, I don’t have experience w/this. That’s a very high height. My recommendation isn’t about the height, but moissaniteco sells shared prong moissanite bands that’ll be more affordable than a diamond band. Something that high you may have to go custom route to get it to match. Honestly, I don’t think anyone will notice the height difference if you go with a regular band.
You could also go for a band in a more subtle style to contrast with your ering and make it pop. Because you’ll be going for contrast, it won’t matter that the height isn’t the same.

If it were me I would go for a really chunky plain band to keep the emphasis on your ering, for me personally 2 diamond bands of that height woul be too much

@abirdword: Moissanite is a good idea. I will definitely look into it. I don’t mind getting it custom made, that was the plan anyway… the diamond cost will just be a little too much at this point in time. I figure what I ideally want will essentially cost about $1500-2000 and if I have to wait for our 1 yr anniversary I can manage that if need be! Thanks!!

@loopy_lou: I tried on a gold band with it (with almost matching diamonds, it was a different style but same size diamonds) I loved all the bling!! lol. I think I might look for what you said for the wedding and wait for the diamonds. Thanks 🙂
