Hi all!  When did you all start buying maternity bras?  My boobs are getting too big for my normal bras.  Any recommendations?  I'm only 12 weeks, so I figure they're going to continue to grow... should I try to factor that in when buying new bras now?  Thanks for all advice!!

I bought  a bigger size somewhere in the first trimester and then 2 more (nursing/maternity) toward the end of my second in an even bigger size.  Both times, I got them a Target b/c they were cheap and nice and don't know when I'll stop growing. The first purchase was with extra nipple 'reinforcements' b/c I started poking out a lot and I was experimenting with various maternity clothes. And the second purchase was without the underwire, for comfort. I'll likely go to NOrdstrom's for a late third trimester treat and get a really nice comfy and appropriately sized one.

Isabella Fine Lingerie in Chicago (www.shopisabella.com) does not have specific bras for maternity, but I buy all my regular bras there and they helped me find a wonderful bra to use while pregnant as well. The bras there are pricey but awesome. I am now in my 2nd trimester and outgrowing that bra so I think I will go back and visit them again. I tried on some "maternity" bras at Macy's last week and was horrified by the terrible fit so hopefully Isabella's will come to the rescue :)

There are some great resources online for maternity and nursing bras.  Try mommygear, momshop and breastchester for inexpensive, quality bras.  (Though I think Breastchester might have gone out of business).

I went to our local store like Marshall's or TJ Maxx and got a cheap, normal, wireless bra (I went up a band and cup size) during my second trimester.  I will get a nursing bra closer to my delivery date, and expect to get a larger one once milk comes in.
