@renwoman:  Could you have them put cups in instead of having to wear a bra? It’d probably be a lot more comfy! That’s what I did and it worked out great. 🙂 Otherwise I’d say go with nude colored.

ETA: let your undies decide what bra you wear

I wore white but my dress was white too. Honestly, the bodice of my dress has enough layers that unless I was going for dark or neon, it wasn’t going to show. If yours doesn’t show, I would go with whichever is pretty and match your undies (if you want).

I think nude, and I prefer bra to sewn in cups unless one of the bees want to tell us all of the benefits.

Bra can be worn again. cups not so much.

Mine was Nude and it was great. I guess ivory/white would work as well.

@renwoman:  I acutally bought a black one, it sits low enought that it wont peek through. It doesnt show through my dress, i guess because of so many layers. Plus Ill be able to wear it again! (I only bought black, because the one the fit really well wasnt available in beige in time for the wedding)

Here’s some thoughts on bras:

1.) a longline bra or torsolette will encourage you to stand taller, giving you better posture.  Unfortunately, many of us are slouchers (myself included).

2.) a regular strapless will give you no lift, and won’t do any favors for your figure.

3.) Sewn in cups are fine if you always stay the same weight, and don’t have a cup size larger than a C.

4.) the foamy/microfiber bra will take up an inch of space in your dress.

5.) if your dress is chiffon, go with a nude smooth longline bra/torsolette as the boning more than the color can show through.

6.) for a heavier material/sturdier gown, black/white/nude/beige should be fine.  Most women choose white or nude to coordinate with other undergarments on the day (panties, garter, etc.)

Hope this helps some! 🙂
