@eecuadrado:  Is it possible that your water really did break? I feel very ignorant on the matter since I am a ftm to be as well…

Honestly, I would get checked out just in case!

If there was water, I would get checked. That’s not normal.

Um …. if you had a gush of water you should be going to the doctor ASAP or the ER.  Doesn’t matter if there was no blood….if the amniotic sac errupts or breaks then thats bad news for baby and possibly you.  My good friend had to have an emergency C section because she went a week without knowing her water broke.

@eecuadrado:  I think if there’s any gush of fluid, you should get checked.

My water was leaking at the end of my pregnancy, and there was no blood. I wasn’t even positive if my water had broken, it was just small gushes here and there. I thought it could be heavier discharge. I listened to my instincts and went into my doctor’s office and got checked. Sure enough, they sent me to be induced and suspected my water was leaking. It’s a big rism for infection, so I would say it can’t hurt to get checked.

@eecuadrado:  I’ve had BH, and everything sounds normal but NOT the water thing. I would have gone in immediately because no way should there be water anything. I just end up feeling some slight discomfort and my uterus is very tight, but it goes away after I move around. I did have some lower abdominal pain, but as soon as I moved that was gone too. Had I had any gushing water, I would have checked myself in, so I would go in just to be sure all is ok.

You seem like someone who understandably worries as a first time mom about everything….so I can’t imagine why you wouldnt be going in to the doctors like now.  Better to be safe than sorry…seriously it’s so bad if there’s no fluid left or minimal fluid for baby.
