I sent mine an E Card that said ‘congratulations Daddy!’

LOL. SO not that creative. Some of the other bees have such cool, unique ideas – I hope they share them here!

From what I hear, most people get excited and wave the pee stick in his face!  Haha, I bought a card and some baby shoes.

@WifeOfD:  I plan on getting him a gift that kinda makes him think and then giving him the positive test.  🙂 I would love for it to be on his bday or any other gift holiday for him but who could really plan that out!?!

I think my favorite idea that I read previously on the Bee was putting a “bun in the oven” literally…and telling him to please check on what you have baking in the oven…see if he gets it when he opens the door and sees a single bun on a baking sheet. Could be a fun idea for you if your DH works in a bakery.

I went to A&W and bought him a Papa burger and a Baby burger and also put the test in the bag (I realize that is super gross) when he pulled out the Baby burger he knew what was going on, he actually looked at the test and said ‘I don’t get iti umm it was a FRER it tells you what it means lol!

@MrsRichard:  So cute! I love that idea haha. Did it take him long to figure it out?

I took the test, came downstairs, and told him! I’m too paranoid to buy any baby-related gifts until we know all is well with our little lentil.

I had a long skinny cardboard box stashed away for the occasion.  I got my BFP in the morning and then me and DH both went to work. I rushed home from work to beat DH home that day. I put the FRER in the box and wrapped it up in Christmas wrapping paper. I put the gift on his pillow so he’d see it before bed.  When he saw it, he was so excited to get to unwrap an early Christmas present, he was all smiles! He had no clue I had been testing so the look on his face when he actually saw it was priceless. He kept saying “What?! No way!! Really?? No way!!!” After the denial was over he hugged me so hard and we both cried. It’s something I’ll never forget! 🙂

Yeah I just violently shook him awake and stuck the pee stick in his face as he was half sleep. Not the most romantic way, but definitely a surprise 🙂

My original idea was to take my proposal video and propose fatherhood to him, but we had a lot going on, and I knew I couldn’t keep it a secret until I had done that.

Um, we call babies “Muppets” and came up with the phrase “Muppet sparkle” for pregnancy.. So I bought a little Kermit the frog and am going to attach a few Sworovski crystals to his collar/neck thing.
