Hello Bees! Long time lurker here and I just wanted to get people’s opinion on breast implants/augmentation etc. I’ve been contemplating getting breast implants for awhile because well I never had any, like EVER! And I’m not exaggerating, I really have NOTHING not even an A-cup! If you can imagine a skinny 12 yr old boy, that is pretty much what I am.
I’ve always been super skinny since I was a kid and into my teens and mid 20’s, I figured when my metabolism slowed down perhaps I would be able to gain weight and maybe my chest would grow, clearly it did not, I gained 20 lbs since my early 20’s and still no change to my chest size enough though my weight grew in other places (ah so frustrating!!)
Right now I’m 30yrs old, 5’2″ and weigh 110 and I HATE that I have no breasts, I’ve always felt like I’m less of a woman or like I can never be a REAL woman. Not just that but I can never fill out dresses or (WORST OF ALL) BATHINGSUITS!! It is literally impossible to fit a decent bathing suit 🙁
I’ve been with my DH since we were 24 (just recently married), and he’s always casually said that I don’t need it and that boobs don’t matter to him (come on, what guy doesn’t like boobs?!?!) And when he says that I sense he’s just saying that cause he loves me and doesn’t want me to feel bad.
I never wanted BIG boobs, honestly I would be SOOOOO ESTATIC with just a full A, I just want to feel normal and womanly. BUT I’m worried my family and friends will judge me and think it’s a superficial thing. What do you guys think?
P.S. Push up bras and sticky boob things DON”T WORK ON ME lol there is nothing for it to PUSH/PULL/Squeeze together, I cannot fake cleavage even if my life depended on it lol

For most of my adult life I didn’t have noticeable breasts either. I found that men don’t need breasts as such – it’s the nipple area which interests them. I’m overweight now and miss my “smaller” days.
Your femininity is not related to a body part – it is your whole spirit. Embrace it!

I say to hell with what your family, friends, and internet strangers think – it’s your body and nobody else’s business. I can see both sides, but in the end I think you should make the decision based on realistic expectations of how you will feel with both outcomes. You will be/have been judged for being small-chested, and also judged for getting implants, because people are jerks and judge for everything and nobody can win. Maybe set up a consultation with a surgeon to see before/afters of what they can do for your body type? Some implants look natural (proportionate size for body fat percentage) and some look really odd (a lot of times doctors suck the “armpit fat” out while they’re up in there anyway – IMO that’s what makes the job look really fake).
Another idea: Have you taken birth control pills? The hormones make some womens’ chest grow.

@cheesecakelove: Personally, I don’t think I would do it. However, if it’ll make you feel a little better about yourself and your husband doesn’t care, why not?
I don’t see it all that much more different then other cosmetics alterations like laser hair removal or botox.

@Astra: The thing is that I’m actually a very feminine girl lol pink/florals/girly crap everything! I just feel like breasts are such a beautiful femine attribute that the female gender is blessed with, it’s what makes the female body so divine, it’s what it’s what we nurse our babies with etc. I feel like I’m missing out on all of that.

@aggie2010: Oh yes I was on birth control for a few years and it did nothing for me

@cheesecakelove: If it will make you happy, you should absolutely do it (provided your body image isn’t your only source of happiness).

@MrsPanda99: Of course not, I’m generally a pretty happy person, I’m blessed with a lot of things, awesome DH, amazing family & friends, career, house etc… this is something I want to do for myself

@cheesecakelove: That’s what I thought, so you have my full support (whatever that is worth, lol). Seriously though, some women derive all their self worth from how they look and they will never stop with one surgery – it is a constant pursuit of perfection. It sounds like there is one thing you want to fix and I see nothing wrong with that. I will definitely get a breast lift after I have kids!

GET THEM!!! I always tell people whatever YOU think will make you happy do it and have no regrets.
Getting boobies was the best thing I could have ever done for myself. Granted I’ve wanted them since I was 14 because everyone around me had boobs and I was flat as a board. Now that I’m 31 I would do it again in a heartbeat. I was financially stable and ready when I got them done three yrs ago and haven’t looked back. You dont have to go crazy big. Shop around and look a doctor who will be honest with you. I told my doctor I wanted to be able to lick my boob (totally joking) and he was like I will send you to a doctor who will do that for you. He made me proportion because I have a booty but no hips and a small waist.
Believe me the family and friends who judge will love your confidence and might turn around and want them for themselves. My roommate and best friend from college who took care of me vowed she would never do it and that she was perfectly content with hers. She had them done last December…lol!!
Message me and I will give you info I stalked!!

I say go for it! It’s your body, you can do with it what you please. I’m an A cup and have also contemplated this. Most likely after I have children I’ll get em done.

@cheesecakelove: Well, first off, you most certainly are a REAL woman!!! Don’t feel any less feminine because of your lack of breasts.
That said, though I am not in general a fan of breast augmentation, but there is this one thing that sounds a lot healthier, more natural, etc. You have to wear one of those weird breast suction things at night for a while (they temporarily make your breasts bigger because they basically cause more space in your breast area), and then inject fat gathered from other parts of your body into your breasts. Supposedly the effects, once the fat is injected, are pretty permanent. I haven’t looked into it extensively, but it might be something to check out if you, like me, are kinda all about only putting natural things in your body.
Here’s the website I found (WARNING! This is their before and after page, so it is basically just a billion pictures of breasts – don’t open at work, hahahaha): http://www.miamibreastcenter.com/augmentation/fat-transfer-before-after-photos

@cheesecakelove: If it will make you feel better about yourself then why not? Just make sure to get them in a realistic size that will be proportionate to your body. Giant juggos look silly on a petite frame.
