@futuremrste:  I remember we talked on an older post when I was frustrated with finding bras in my size (32DD), and while it doesn’t cause me pain, I do wish sometimes I could make them smaller, but I would be so scared of surgery, even though I know the end result will feel so liberating. Are you nervous? I just had to have emergency surgery, and while this is something you’ve clearly chosen and planned for, I just get scared of pain 🙁 eta: pain and scarring 🙁

@futuremrste:  Oh this is great! I’ve always want to get a reduction but I’ve always been overweight :-/ So once I lose enough weight, I may go in for a lift and tuck. A friend of mine had this done and I remember her being at home in bed, with a drainage tube. She said pain was minimal, but just very sore and tired.

Yay!  Best decision you will ever make!  Good luck with your urgery, it will all be worth it!

I had my reduction at 17 when I was 5″4 inches and weighed 130 with e40 bra size..!  They took 4 lbs off each side and I never looked back!  Message me if you have any questions if you would like!

Good luck!

As a 36F, I definitely plan to look in to a breast reduction after I have kids.  My mom and I are built the same and our bodies tend to react the same way to everything and she started out a C/D beofre kids and 3 kids later was an I.  I’m frightened by what kids will do to my chest.

Very exciting!  From one big busted girl to another (I’m a 32G) I wish you the best of luck!  Please come back and let us know how it was and the recovery!  I’m waiting ’til after (if) we have children.. I hear they may get smaller after, so might just get a lift.

I can contribute. I had my brest reduction surgery on 2005 at the age on 19. I was a 34DDD and was reduced to a D (my surgeon suggested that I don’t reduce too much). I had in Colombia (where I am from). The surgery lasted aprox. 3-4 hours and when I woke up it was a weird feeling. I hard struggled all my life with back pain so I was super excited to be able to live without back pains.

I honestly did not feel any pain afterwards, mostly discomfort because you really lose all mobility for about 2-3 months. Be sure to take care of the stiches realy well so everything heals as it should. At first it will seem like they are supper high (as if you are swallowing them) I swear when you wake up you feel like a barbie porn star. It takes a full year for them to settle into place. I am so happy that I got it done. (mine was mostly a lift more than a reduction) I was lifted about 4 inches which is a lot and he removed about 1lb of excess junk.

One more suggestion is to try to lose as much weight as you can before the surgery so they shrink a little. If you are overweight and then you lose weight there is chance that they will sag. I have decided that once I am done having children I will surely reduce even more.

Good luck! I wish you all the best and hope to hear the updates soon…
