Breast tenderness,birth control

@FutureMrsB123:  When I was on the pill years ago as well as with my IUD currently I get sore and tender breasts sometimes before a period. Not every one. I would say 60% of the time… sucks.

When I went on the progesterone only pill I had super sore boobs.  It sucks, but it’s normal.

When I first started birth control my boobs were super sore and were swollen.  The reason for this was that I went up 2 boob sizes, from a B to a D.  I eventually got off the pill and switched to another form of BC because I could not take the drastic change in size any longer, I felt very uncomfortable and not myself.

Mine were sore when I first went on BC! It calmed down after a couple of months.

@FutureMrsB123:  Completely normal. It’ll go away once your body adjusts. You’ll still probably get sore boobs around your period, though.

I didn’t use to have sore breasts until I stopped using hormonal birth control and had my IUD (copper, not Mirena). Now that I’m back on my natural cycle, I get breast tenderness every few months.
