(Closed) breastfeeding and baby dairy allergy?

My friend’s baby had trouble breastfeeding. She would always spit up, I’m pretty sure it happened from the time she was born. She eventually had to go on a lactose free formula. I would just ask your doctor about it.

I work in NICU – so this is from my experience there. Usually, the dairy intolerance develops over time, at first things are fine, but over a few weeks you will notice discomfort after feeding, excess gas, spitting up, and even blood in the stool. If you eliminate dairy from your diet, it can take up to 2 weeks for all the dairy proteins to clear your body, and for the baby to feel better.
