I ended up having to have an emergency c-section with my baby because he was breech. I never felt him flip and he wasn't breech up until my appointment 2 weeks before I had him so I went into the hospital never even knowing he had flipped. My water had broke and he was 3 weeks early so they couldn't turn him for delivery and having a c-section was my only option.
My daughter turned sometime between 30 and 32 weeks, and I had no clue. If I noticed her turning, it just felt like regular, every day movements to me.
ETA: She was a footling breech up until that point.
When I was pregnant with my daughter she turned breach about 35 weeks or so and it was REALLY painful. I was in the ER cause I thought I was in labor it hurt so bad! 2 weeks later she flipped again and didn't really feel it.
dd #2 was breech until 34 weeks. She flipped on her own and I figured she was flipping just by the way my stomach looked, but it didn't hurt.
When my sister had DS #4, 5 years ago, he was breech until he was manually turned successully around 37 weeks. She didn't feel him move for a couple days after that and when she went back and had another ultrasound he turned back to being breech. They scheduled a c-section for a week later and the morning of the section the little booger was back being head down. They decided to induce since he was head down and after almost 18 hours of labor he went back to being breech and she ended up having a c-section anyway. All of that to say, only once did she feel like he was having a party in there. lol When the Dr pulled him out, he bit down on the dr's finger when he cleaned his airway out. Guess he was tired of the dr messing with him. haha

I found out at my 30 week ultrasound this week that our son is currently breech- he's kind of sitting in a pike position with his butt down. I know the odds are in my favor that he won't still be breech by the time we do the next ultrasound but I honestly have a really hard time imagining how he's going to move. The tech explained that babies can only turn in one direction so he would have to do a 180 degree rotation to be head down. He's about 4 lbs right now and the movements I get are really strong so I'm kind of cringing thinking about him doing a complete flip in my stomach. I'm just wondering for anyone that's been through this- do you feel it when they do turn and if so, is it painful?
