I’d like your opinions. I have the dress below. I would like to pair it with a belt (which is going to be a DIY one since I prefer a belt and not a sash). I’m at a loss at the width and type of belt that would go well with the dress and with my body shape.
I’m 5′ 1″, and about 115 and not curvy so I’d like the belt to accentuate the non-existent waist that I don’t have.
Here are the links to the etsy trims that I’m thinking of purchasing. I’m not sure on the width, but I was thinking around 1 in or maybe a little thicker.
1 inch trims
*Can be a bit wider as well
>1″ inch trims
Please see the links below for the trims and please vote! And if you have other suggestions for trims, I would appreciate it too. EEK, I can’t believe the wedding is in less than 2 months.

@CatyLady: Do you think either of these will go well with the dress? I don’t know whether the belt is wide enough or not.

@yoyo19: It’s hard to tell without them being on a dress as there’s no sense of proportion. Do you know how wide the one is that the model is wearing?

As a fellow ruler-shaped shorty I feel your pain. I found that, while very sparkly and pretty, the one inch belts just didnt add anything to my physique so I am thinking of going for a belt that gets slightly wider in the middle as that seems to give the illusion of actually having a waist more. Just an idea. Best of luck! 🙂
