Wow, I don't know what I was doing while I was typing that. Please excuse the typos and weird syntax. It's been a long day so far...
@NJFRegan: i struggled with this too - i really wanted gerberas but my dress had a pattern on the skirt and they just seemed too modern to match - i ended up doing just red roses - i think if you could find a deep red rose that would be pretty - like the black magic roses?

i really love this bouquet below too - natural colors, romantic, classy and it has a little navy in it - so far my favorite bouquet.

I would say to use the navy in the wrap, like if your bridesmaid dresses are navy or your table linens, that would tie in nicely with the stems being wrapped in navy. For a blacktie affair, I would keep the bouquet to one or two colors, and select those colors according to what overall look you are going for... more drama = more red, more romance = more white. These are just my ideas/opinions., but that dress is awesome! Maybe use a little bling over the navy wrap to sparkle it up a little.
i love peonies, but I'm not sure you will be able to get them for a July wedding....
I don't think you have to worry about anything overpowering your dress. It is very beautiful and very dramatic.
You don't need to include all the wedding colors. Your maids can do that.
If you want to have some blue flowers make sure they are blue naturally, not dyed.

You can always bring in some blue in the ribbon on the handle, or a blue brooch in the bouquet.

Hey all!
So I bought the dress (!), very exciting, but I am some seriously trouble figuring out what type/style/color of bouquet would go well. Everytime I look the dress pick I oscillate between like five different ideas. My main concern is that I don't the flowers to clash or overpower the dress.
Some details:
The wedding is a blacktie, outdoor tented evening wedding in July. The colors are navy, cranberry, white, silver and taupe.
I would love to incorporate some blue but most of the blue bouquets I've seen have been a little too casual and organic.
The dress is called "ivory" but honestly looks more gray/silvery in person.
Here's a pic of the dress:

Please help me at least get a general direction!! thanks!!
