I really love it, and it looks gorgeous on you! Really glad to hear you finally got a good consultant. πŸ™‚

I was starting to get annoyed with my 2nd consultant who was doing my fitting appointments.  Just very short with me and not very friendly.  But I went for another fitting today and the original consultant who pulled my dress was there, and even remembered details about me from when I was first there 3 months ago!  And she was super friendly and patient with me.  Even said it looked like I lost weight (who even cares if they’re lying or not, it’s nice to hear!).

You were so right about the bigger hoop, I’m glad you insisted and made it happen!  Not only is the shape perfect for you, but you can see the detail of the skirt so much better.  Beautiful!!!

@lisha_1988:  I know exactly the consultant youre talking about haha! I was sooo glad I didn’t get her for my initial try on… I was the same, not loving the dresses I tried with one bar, but oh what a difference with two bars! That was what sold me my dress.

Now to my experience with the consultant I think you’re talking about. Bridesmaid appointment.  My girls try on the dress I chose. It’s busy so service is sucking a bit, but it’s a Saturday so we understand. So we get to ordering. One of my girls is plus size. The junior girl calls in The Other to check the measurements ONLY on my plus sized BM. Way to make a girl feel good. So she walks over and says….”so you’re the problem one” before loudly reading out her measurements and size. I. Almost. Died. I pulled her aside and apologized after, luckily she’s a cool chick. Then she finishes measuring my last BM and says “Well you haven’t got much going in in the chest area and your waste is thick, so we’ll order for your waste”. I know that this makes sense, but saying it out loud?? Really?

If my dress and my BM’s dresses weren’t exclusive to that store, I would have gone elsewhere. Fortunately everyone has laughed it off and it’s now a wedding anecdote.

@lisha_1988:  I remember you from a previous thread as a fellow Gown Gallery shopper. That’s a shocker, so so rude. I bet we’re talking about the same person.
