Let me recommend this rad-tastic site for researching venues: herecomestheguide.com
Here is a list of bridal shows coming up: http://www.herecomestheguide.com/fair/region/northern-california-fairs/
You can also go to http://www.modernbridal.com/ for a few upcoming fairs.
It would also be good for you and your FI to sit down and discuss what your overall goal is for the day (other than getting married of course!). This will help keep you focused because it is easy to get overwhelmed by options. Have fun planning!
there's a bridal fair at San Mateo Marriot in March that I plan to attend, i think that is the modernbride that someone mentioned here. it costs money for the tickets but there is a promo code to get in for free if you register online
i dont have the promo code but can find out for you if you want. just send me a message.
good luck with wedding planning! it'll be a fun type of stress. i think i'll be sad once my wedding and event is all planned and i'll have nothing to do or worry about!

Here's the deal - I just got engaged and have no idea what I'm doing or where to start really. I just had a thought that it might be good to go to a wedding/bridal fair to get a few ideas since I've only been to two weddings in my adult life. (Surprise! Surprise! I don't remember any details about the weddings I attended when I was 5!)
Do you ladies know of a few local fairs/events I could check out?
