I think you should take the weather into consideration. I had a July wedding and really wanted part of my hair down but it would have been too hot. Also, I'd recommend a trial run. Have your hairstylist try both styles so you can see them in person.
Youre right the dress itself is really heavy and hot, having my hair down might kill me lol thanks for the advise!
I think that particular half-up style that you posted looks kind of dated, so I chose the updo. It's much more classic.
Your dress is amazing! I think your hair up would look good and it will show your shoulders and back.
I second the trial runs pre-wedding day idea.
Personally, I LOVE the half-up/half-down 'do, but I think the up 'do would be better for the dress and time of year.
For your dress and the time of year, I would definitely suggest the updo.
