I bought a bridal magazine right before I got engaged (FI had bought the ring, I was just waiting on a proposal) and I was so worried the cashier would be scoping out my ring finger that I actually kept my left hand in my coat pocket the entire time!

HA!  I’m in love with all of them too, and yes, I find myself buying giant $9 magazines even though they are the “Find Your Perfect Dress!” issue and I already have a dress.  lol… I love reading them, I love the ads, I love looking for inspiration and ideas.  Totally addicted!

I am guilty of this, I had a healthy stack collecting in my office. Even though each magazine did not really offer anything useful, I still bought it. Finally threw it all away a week ago.

Made a huge thunk sound when it hit the bottom of the recycling can too.

I have so many, too!  I ‘ve only bought 2 myself though – friends and my mom either give or send them to me all the time 🙂

Too bad we don’t live closer so we can exchange magazines!  Damn!

I got sucked into those things too, and early in the engagement, my fiance would buy me two or three at a time because he knew how excited I was.  They’re currently in a big box marked Free for our Memorial Day yardsale!

Btw – I wouldn’t be embarassed buying a bridal magazine and not being engaged — there are at least 40 engagement ring ads in those things — and they don’t advertise to girls who already have rings!

@TheFutureMrsPage_xx:  I have a subscription to three of them…so i’m not paying full retail price anymore…plus, I actually got a ton of free decor from a bride on Craigslist awhile back who didn’t want to “profit” from her wedding leftovers (like I see a lot of brides do) and just wanted the extra vases and stuff out of the house — so my fiance and I decided to “pay it forward” with wedding stuff…including the magazines, which a lot of brides like to look through. Although, I will say looking back on it, I kind of wish we hadn’t spent $100 on magazines that are 95% advertising materials. So if I can help someone not spend $100 and still browse through all the pretty dresses, I’m happy to do so!
