I do not live in Cinncinnati, but I did a google search for bridal outlet Cinncinnati, and came up with The Land of Oz. They seem to have very good reviews.
What exactly are you looking for? Land of Oz is great if you're local, but I wouldn't drive 2.5 hours to check it out. If you're looking for dresses, there are a few bridal districts that have a great selection and cover the majority of the designers.
Reading's bridal district includes Bridal & Formal which is one of the largest stores in the country. They have dresses for every budget. The sales reps can be hit or miss, but I personally had a great experience there. European Bridal and Cincinnati Bride are right across the street from Bridal and Formal and are much smaller stores that carry different designers. Also along Reading are some florists, alterations specialists, shoes, invitations, cakes, etc, but if you're out of town, they probably wouldn't be much help.
There's also an area in Covington (northern KY) that has some shops. Fabulous Bridal is a very nice dress shop with some of the higher end designers. They also have some of the cheaper designers, and the feel of the store is just more luxurious. Madison Avenue Bridal is a more budget friendly shop in the same area. Once again, they have all of the other vendors conveniently located.
Sorry for writing a book. Hopefully, it at least answered your question :)
If you know the dress you want, you can order it through Land of Oz at a MAJOR discount. Be aware, though, that Land of Oz does not really stock dresses—you need to know what you want going in. You can also get really affordable accessories and wedding inviations there. They're been in business more then 35 years, so it's pretty legit.
Does Land of Oz sell Maggie Sottero gowns? I want either the Adorae or Brianna BAD!
@bearcatsweetie: Yes!!! They do sell Maggie Sottero! I considered buying Ambrosia from them before I found my real dream dress at Cincinnati Bride (now Wendy's Cincinnati Bride).
The best deals can sometimes be found online. You might want to do some price comparisions. Some sites to consider:
The pre-owned sites (some people sell unworn dresses that they don't want to wear):
Pre-owned Wedding Dresses
Once Wed
Recycled Bride
Bravo Bride
The sample/resale shops:
Church Street Bridal (online and b&m, proceeds go to charity, gets donations from Kleinfeld)
Vows (online and b&m)
Your Dream Dress
Le Dress Boutique (online and b&m)
Encore Bridal (online and b&m)
Fabulous Frocks of Charleston (online and b&m)

I have been told that there is a bridal outlet store somewhere in Cinncinnati. Do any of you bees know anything about it? What is it called? Is it worth my 2 1/2 hour trip there? Thanks for your help!
