@eecuadrado:  I did a personalized handkerchief for my mom…they were not these exact ones, but that is what was embroidered on them.

I love these little sentimenetal hankies for moms.. You can customize the wording. I know it’s not a big gift, but I think this is what I’m doing for my mom and I know she will love it:

@eecuadrado:  I’m confused by grand total do you mean $100 for 9 presents? So effectively $10 per person and $20 for your sister?

@eecuadrado:  I got my dad one as well and they both cried when I gave them to them.  They LOVED them!!

@eecuadrado:  Hmm that is still only $16 per person. I know it is the thought that counts but how much are they paying to be in your wedding?

@eecuadrado:  It could be just me (and could be a cultural thing since BM’s don’t pay for their attire here the bride does) but I could never let my close friends/relatives spend over $200 to be in my wedding and then only spend $16 on a gift for them. It just seems ungrateful to me.

If you have a small budget could you maybe try and find things at a sale? I think the key would be to get something half off etc. I would probably steer clear of anything that is typically used as a BM gift because they will already be marked up well over what they are worth.

Do they have particular interests? Could you use the money to make something for them? Like beauty products, jewellery or perfumes? or some other DIY product.

@eecuadrado:  if you can keep it under $16 per person you will be a super hero. i spent about $100 on each of my 6 bridesmaids, and all i got them was a clutch, a pashmina and a photo box.

you might consider just writing them each a heartfelt letter if you really can’t bring the budget up at all. or something small and inexpensive (a knot ring, for example) and also a length heartfelt letter…
