- Wedding: May 2013
Originally, FI and I had wanted to elope (rather spend the money on remodeling the house or travel), but his mom really wants a wedding. Fine, we’ll throw a wedding. I told FI that I didn’t want a big bridal party. Maybe just my two sisters. He then said “well, i think its only proper etiquette to ask my two sisters”. WHAT?! Ok. I’m not really close to my middle sister and the youngest one and I had a fall out a year ago. We have since then made up and I asked her to be my MOH. Her response “I don’t think i’m the right person for that job” ONLY because she doesn’t want to plan the bridal shower, bachelorette party, or give a toast. I was raised in Ohio but was born in SF. I have an elementary friend that i had stayed in contact with after moving to Ohio. I had planned on asking her, but she had mentioned in the past that her cousin recently got engaged and told her she can’t be her MOH because of her lil girl. She won’t have time. I have other girlfriends out here, but i’m not sure if they are MOH material. i have a bf in Ohio, but I feel that it would too hard for her to plan stuff while not present.
So, I’ve been seriously stressing on who I am going to ask to be my MOH and bridesmaids. :
