Bit of a rant.
Im so worried that the ideas I have in my head well end up looking well shit. That nothing will match and it will all be over the place. I wouldnt say I have a ‘theme’ just an idea.
Im concerned that my dress is too blingy and not soft and romantic like the other aspects of the wedding. Or that it wont match the accessories.
Im worried that the bridesmaids dresses (well i KNOW they are) too difficut to colour match so decorations and bouquets and the boys ties will all be different pinks/ purples and look like it was thrown together last minute.
Im worried that because we are having a small wedding with no alcohol that people wont have a good time, and wont like our reception and will leave early.

your wedding will be perfect.
1. personally i think themes can be too regimented. An ‘idea’, no matter what it is will flow better.
2. you picked your dress because you love it!! It is a wedding dress therefore it is romantic 🙂
3. All my bridesmaids could not be more different – size, hair, colour etc. i love them because they are different 🙂 they are wearing diffent styles in the same colour and it will look amazing!
4. small wedding equals intimate and with those you love. they wont expect alcohol and they can buy their own anyhow! They love you and their concern will be that you and your OH have the most amazing day of your lives 🙂
Keep smiling it will all work out! xxxxx

I freak out about this all the time! It doesn’t help that I actually am throwing things together, and fiance’s parents are very traditional and judgemental. All I can do is remember that the reason for the day is to marry my best friend, not to impress a bunch of guests – if they really are there to support our marriage, they won’t give a crap what colour the table cloths are, or what the food is.

Ohhhh someone apparently is posting from inside my head!!! OP this regret/panic hits me all of the time. Just last night I had to do a five minute un-freaking-out exercise with Fiance to help me feel good about my dress again. (Ordered it from FabulousU with major alterations and am waiting to see how it turns out.) What if the flowers aren’t as pretty as I want? What if the food isn’t great? What if people don’t like the cake we order? What if what if what if…
What if everyone is blown away by how beautiful you are in your dress?
What if your Fiance can’t take his eyes off of you as you walk down the aisle and for the rest of the day/night?
What if the not-exact color matches all come together in a gorgeous burst of colors in your photos?
What if people end up having an easier time talking and mixing and sharing time with you because it’s a smaller reception?
Some what ifs can be positive and relaxing. Your wedding will be a wonderful celebration, and you’ll have such a lovely time and create lovely memories. Whenever the regrets start to creep in, turn it around and think of all the good things 🙂
