I agree - Utsave Saree is good for bridesmaids. I also went to shennai couture in NYC to look for my bridal stuff:

I will third Utsav! I have had great experiences with them.. I just recieved my second round of products from them and all are well constructed and matching with their descriptions (saris, churidars, and a lehnga). It is a HUGE relief to me to head to our destination wedding with some blouses that already fit. I DO recommend having someone else measure you though, don't try to do it yourself!
My actual wedding and engagement saris are from a boutique outside of KL, Malaysia, bought by FFIL. If anyone will be shopping there please PM me and I can get you more info... as soon as we get off the plane I'll go to get them stitched :)
Do you know if I can send blouse material and measurements to Ustav? I already bought the sarees for my bridesmaids in India.
I loved Aso Palav in Ahmedabad. They have beautiful pieces and well worth it if you want chenia cholis.
Btw, there's an Aso Palav in Mumbai, but it's not the same.
Seems like you can do some online shopping: http://www.asopalav.com/category.aspx?cmsid=1
@Cupcakeguru: I don't know if Utsav does tailoring but it may be easier to look for an Indian tailor in your area.

I'm so happy to see more South-Asians on this site. I know when I was trying to plan my wedding it was a bit difficult with little information. So I want to make it easier on future South Asian brides.
Tell us where you bought your bridal saree or lengha and if you recommend the seller, along with some way to contact them. Also if you had bridesmaids wearing sarees or lenghas include them also.
I'll start with myself:
- Bridal Lengha- Meenal Fashions ($700)
I definitely recommend Meenal. I was lucky to live near Meenal Fashions. She has a really good selection. She can also do custom orders. My husband's sherwani was custom ordered for him. He liked the design on one and the fabric of another. She said she can get the design made on to the fabric he liked and she gave us a fair price for it as well.
- Bridesmaid Sarees - Utsav Sarees ($61)
Utsav was really good for us. All the bridesmaids ordered at one time. They then sent the specific measurements via an excel sheet through email with the order number. All the girls got well fitting blouses. And the saree itself is good quality.
Also you can check out my bio for more information.
Now its your turn :)
